Tuesday and Wednesday late afternoons and weekends were both spent roaming the streets of Madrid. We went to a bunch of shops and went to another one of the chocolate and churro places! This one was WAAAY better than the one in Alcala and I am so shocked that no one has opened a place like this in the States! We also found this sweet music store that had records and cassettes and old CD's! We took this picture in that store, me holding my Bob Marley record, and Sami with her Beatles! Yesterday we tried to go to the Palacio Real, but it was closed for Royal Ceremonies! Then we tried to go to a museum that was right next to the palace, but it closed at 2:00. Such luck we were having! But we took some pictures in front of both of the buildings because they were pretty!

Today I GOT MY PACKAGE!!! It was nice to see the US postage all over the box and wonderful to see things inside with English writing on them! we took our first siesta since having been here! Then after lunch we decided to go see a movie with Sandy and Allyson! We went to the theater and decided on Madagascar 2!! We had about 45 minutes to kill before the movie started so we went got some ice cream at the ice cream place right by the the theater! It was delicious ice cream!! The movie was all in Spanish, but I am kind of starting to feel like I am understanding more of it! We opted for the more kid friendly movie since our level of comprehension as far as Spanish goes is at probably about a first grade level and we thought that maybe they would use simpler phrases. After the movie we went to a little restaurant and got some huge french fries with 4 different sauces to dip them in. It was SO delicious!
